In September 2023, our company shipped two FOV 3.4-0.6 filters for the needs of PJSC Severstal.

Task

The customer gave us a difficult technical task:

• ensure high throughput of products – up to 450 m3/hour;
• equip filters with an automatic control system;
• produce filters in disassembled form;
• each individual unit must not exceed 5 tons.

Solution

To solve this problem, our technical department developed non-standard internal devices. We have modernized and manufactured the upper distribution device of the “perforated glass” type with a diameter of 1250 mm. It consists of 4 segments of slotted sheets of the "TEKO-SLOT" design, with a gap of 0.5 mm and has a conical base. Waste water is discharged through a pipe with a diameter of 426 mm, passing through the entire filter.
To ensure high throughput and reliability, the filters are equipped with slotted drainage caps.

All filters, as required, were manufactured in disassembled form (10 parts no more than 5 tons) and equipped with control cabinets. The delivery set also included shut-off valves with electric drives and instrumentation devices, as well as a filter media.

Purpose

The shipped filters will be used to supply water for cooling the slab of the continuous casting plant of the steelmaking plant.

Bottom line

The customer was supplied with a fully completed water treatment system with an automated control system that complies with the technical specifications and all its requirements. After installation of the system, it will be launched together with our specialists.
