One more modification of the bottom collection and distribution assembly has so called arch type structure. The assembly includes a vertical inlet pipe, arched manifold that duplicates the surface of filter's elliptic bottom and radial pipes connected to it. The radial pipes are bent in several points and duplicate the filter's elliptic bottom as well. The radial pipes are equipped with FEL slotted caps or "TEKO-SLOT" wire-wound elements.

Various modifications of bottom collection and distribution assembly are structured so that to bring the filtering elements (radial pipes or slotted caps) as close as possible to the surface of the lower elliptical bottom, so that filtering surface duplicates the elliptical bottom's profile. Due to the filling of elliptical bottom the filtering material’s load height is increased that allows prolonging the filter run by 5 -15%.

This assembly has the following advantages in comparison with the bottom collection and distribution assembly on concrete foundation:

• increase of filtering material useful volume;
• no labour-consuming operations with the concrete inside the vessel during the mounting and repair processes.
